Iran ‘Compatriot’ heads to Arizona

Iranian film ‘Compatriot’ directed by Mahtab Soleimani has qualified to the 2018 edition of World Wide Women’s Film Festival held in the US.

Iranian film ‘Compatriot’ directed by Mahtab Soleimani has been qualified for the 2018 edition of World Wide Women’s Film Festival held in the US.

The film will mark its 3rd international presence at the festival’s first edition organized from February 9 to 10, 2018 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

‘Compatriot’ follows the story of an Afghan refugee who finds himself forced to leave his county and take refuge in Iran at the start of the war with the Soviets.

The Worldwide Women's Film Festival educates, supports, and empowers women in the collaborative endeavor of filmmaking.

Qualified films have women in at least one key creative role: Writer, Producer, Director, Cinematographer, Editor, or Composer.
